Voting as a family this morning reminded me what this is all about. I’m doing this because I truly care for this county. This is home and where I chose to invest my life and future for my children.

Full disclosure: My children didn’t vote, but we want to teach them about the election process so they can grow up and be proud to cast their vote! They have gone in the past, and really like getting that sticker 😊

Council members are given clear responsibilities under Indiana Code, which outlines exactly what their role is within county government. I’m sharing this so residents can better understand what the County Council is tasked with. I plan to take this role seriously if elected.

Doing the research is so important! This gives you the chance to know what to expect so you may vote wisely and not hastily.

Indiana voters will decide this November whether to amend the state constitution to allow judges to deny bail for certain dangerous defendants.

It was first approved in 2023 and then passed again in 2026. This meets Indiana’s requirement that constitutional amendments be approved by two separately elected General Assemblies before going to voters.

If approved, the amendment would allow courts to deny bail when judges determine that no conditions of release would reasonably protect public safety.

I share this because it shows the process and the time it takes to get important policy right. This is the EXACT question you will see on the ballot in November.

Attending County Council meetings is only part of the job. What truly makes a difference is the work done between meetings. Attending workshops, learning opportunities, and community events to bring fresh ideas and real knowledge back to the board.

Had a great visit with Jamie Reitenour, candidate for Secretary of State! It was wonderful showing her and her family around the farm and talking about Hoosier families, rural life, and opportunities to help Pulaski County continue to grow.
