After more than 50 years of service, the former Wilton Police Department headquarters is coming down.

This building served generations of officers, dispatchers, staff, and community members. While it’s difficult to say goodbye, its demolition marks another step forward as we continue settling into our new headquarters.

The site will be repurposed to provide additional parking and storage to support department operations for years to come.

Thank you to everyone who walked through these doors over the last four decades and helped make this building a part of Wilton’s history.

Early yesterday morning, while most of our community was asleep, our officers were hard at work protecting your safety.

At approximately 4am, officers responded to a reported motor vehicle crash. On arrival, they encountered two individuals near the vehicle who were evasive about their involvement. One officer observed a subject holding a bag that he quickly discarded. Inside that bag, officers recovered two fi****ms, including one “ghost gun.” A high‑capacity magazine was also seized during the course of the investigation.

Both subjects were taken into custody, and the fi****ms were safely secured.

This incident is a strong example of the work your officers do 24/7, visible and behind the scenes, to identify threats and prevent violence in our community.

Their actions reflect our mission to uphold safety, enforce the law, and remain vigilant at all hours.

We are grateful for the resident who called in the crash. Our partnership with the community helps us stay proactive, responsive, and committed to maintaining a safe community for all.

If you see something suspicious, please say something. Together, we keep Wilton safe, day and night.
