Healthy aging starts with information, support, and community.

We’re LIVE at The Pride Center’s 17th Annual Active Aging Health Expo from 10 AM to 2 PM!

Connect with local businesses and service providers, explore health and wellness resources, and access flu shots, blood pressure screenings, HIV testing, and more.

We also have free door prizes and complimentary lunch for the first 400 attendees.

So apparently yesterday was National LGBT Center Awareness Day.

And yes… an LGBT Center missed LGBT Center Awareness Day. 😂

In our defense, we were a little busy actually being an LGBT Center.

Providing programs. Connecting people to care. Creating community. Supporting our seniors. Welcoming people to campus. And doing all the other things that happen every day at Equality Park.

So, one day late, here’s your reminder:

Thank you to the City of Wilton Manors and the City Commission for proudly proclaiming October 2026 as LGBTQ+ History Month and recognizing the generations of LGBTQ+ people who have helped shape our community and move equality forward.

We are especially honored that October 13, 2026, was proclaimed The Pride Center at Equality Park Day, alongside Rainbow Sports League Day.

For more than three decades, The Pride Center has worked to create a welcoming, safe and inclusive home where our community can connect, find support and celebrate who we are. To have that work recognized by the City we are so proud to call home is incredibly meaningful.

Thank you to the City Commission, City staff, and the entire Wilton Manors community for your continued partnership and commitment to equality, inclusion and belonging.

We are proud of our history, grateful for those who came before us, and excited about the work still ahead.

Together, we continue to build a stronger community.

Save the date! Our community comes together each holiday season to make sure local students feel seen, supported and celebrated.

The Pride Center’s 21st Annual Judy Shepard Toy Drive benefits students at Thurgood Marshall Elementary School. From November 16 through December 16, donate a new, unwrapped toy for children ages 6–12 at The Pride Center, shop the Amazon Wish List, or give through the campaign link. Together, we can help make the holidays brighter for our neighbors.

On Ageism Awareness Day, we’re thinking about the LGBTQ+ elders and older adults who have shaped our community, lived through decades of change, and continue to show us what resilience looks like. Through programs like our Active Aging Expo and ongoing services at The Center, we’re proud to help create spaces where people can connect, access resources, and feel seen at every age.
