September is Kinship Care Month. 💛

When children need stability, family steps up. Grandparents, aunts, uncles, siblings and loved ones open their homes and hearts—often with little notice.

Through our Kinship Support Program, Kids In Distress connects caregivers with resources, benefits, legal support and services to help families stay strong and together.

Last year, we supported 144 kinship families across Broward County. 💛

We’re proud to celebrate these caregivers and the love, stability and connection they provide.

Made possible with Memorial Healthcare System and Legal Aid of Broward County, with funding from the Children’s Services Council of Broward County.

For nearly 15 years, Clara has been part of the KID family. What has kept her here all this time is simple: she believes in the work we do to support children and families, and she believes in the people she works alongside.
To Clara, KID isn't just an organization that helps families, it's a family that helps families. And being part of that is what continues to inspire her every day. 💙

For Brandon, it's staying active, playing sports like soccer, football, and basketball, spending time outside during CATCH activities, and remembering the fun of the bowling field trip. 🎳⚽🏈🏀
