SUMMER OF HOPE KICKOFF! 🌻☀️

Today marks the first day of summer, and we’re launching our Summer of Hope Food & Supply Drive!

Summer can be one of the hardest times for families facing food insecurity. While school is out, many children lose access to meals they rely on during the school year. At Hope Station, we want to make sure our pantry shelves stay stocked and our shelters have the supplies needed to care for our neighbors experiencing homelessness.

💙 Here’s our challenge to YOU:

We invite local churches, businesses, civic groups, youth groups, sports teams, families, and even kids looking for a summer service project to join our Summer of Hope Challenge!

- Pick ONE item from our wish list.
- Collect it throughout the summer.
- Invite friends, coworkers, teammates, or congregation members to participate.
- Drop off your donations anytime Monday–Friday, 8 AM–4 PM.

Whether you collect 10 cans of vegetables or 500 pounds of food, every donation makes a difference.

Challenge another church, business, or organization to participate too! Share photos of your collection efforts and tag Hope Station so we can celebrate your impact throughout the summer.

Together, we can fill our pantry, support our shelters, and spread hope all season long. 💙

Rain couldn’t keep this incredible group away! ☔💙

Despite the weather, they showed up with smiling faces and servant hearts to provide a hot meal for our pantry and shelter clients. We are incredibly thankful for their compassion, generosity, and commitment to serving others.

⚾🥫 HELP US KNOCK HUNGER OUT OF THE PARK THIS FRIDAY! 🥫⚾

Join United Way of Wilson County and the Wilson Warbirds on Friday, June 5, for a community food drive supporting local food pantries! 💙

🕠 We'll be collecting donations beginning at 5:30 p.m.
⚾ First pitch is at 7:05 p.m.

Look for our collection sites:
🚌 The bus near the front gate on Goldsboro Street
🚌 The Douglas Street entrance

Most-needed items include:
🥜 Peanut Butter
🥫 Canned Vegetables
🍗 Canned Meat
🍮 Pudding Snack Cups
🥣 Whole Grain Cereal
🍲 Soups
🍝 Pasta

We are excited to welcome Rosa as our summer intern! She will be joining us through the end of July.

We are incredibly grateful to Healthcare Foundation of Wilson for their Interns for Impact program, which connects students with local nonprofits and provides opportunities for learning, growth, and community impact.

Over the next few months, she will be learning about the work we do, serving alongside our team, and becoming part of the Hope Station family. We are excited to have her with us and look forward to all she will contribute during her time here.

If you stop by the agency and see Rosa, be sure to say hello and give her a warm Hope Station welcome! We know our amazing clients, volunteers, supporters, and community members will make her feel right at home.

Spring Into Giving with Hope Station! 💚🌼

We’re so thankful that we were one of the local pantries selected to receive donations from this year’s Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive 💙🥫

Thank you to every letter carrier, volunteer, and community member who helped make this possible for families in our community! And thank you to United Way of Wilson County for all you did to promote, collect, and organize! We are so grateful.
