Hazardous Weather Update - June 11, 2026
🌡️ Dangerous heat is forecast Thursday and Friday. A Heat Advisory is in place for portions of central NC from 11AM to 8PM tonight.

⛈️ Severe thunderstorms are possible in northern areas on Thursday before spreading across western and central NC on Friday.

🏠 Limit outdoor exposure and stay indoors if possible.
🥤 Drink plenty of water.
👕 Wear lightweight, loose-fitting clothing.

Dig into creativity with our Summer Reading Crafts, running from June 15th through July 31st. Each week, a new hands-on craft will “surface” at a different library branch—so there’s always something exciting to discover!
Miss it at your branch? No problem! Each craft rotates to a new location every week for six weeks, giving you plenty of chances to join the fun wherever it pops up next. ☀Bring your friends, spark your imagination, and uncover something amazing—one craft at a time. We can’t wait to see what you create!
