๐บ๐ธ September 10, 2001 โ The Night Before
Twenty-five years ago tonight, America went to bed believing tomorrow would be just another ordinary day.
Families tucked their children into bed. People kissed their loved ones goodnight, set their alarms, packed their bags, confirmed flights, and planned their morning commutes. Life moved forward as it always had.
Some went to sleep not knowing they had just spent their final evening with the people they loved.
By the next morning, America would stand still.
On September 11, 2001, innocent lives were taken, families were forever changed, and our nation faced unimaginable tragedy. Yet amid the darkness, brave men and women answered the call. Firefighters, police officers, paramedics, service members, flight crews, dispatchers, and ordinary citizens ran toward danger without hesitation. They demonstrated extraordinary courage, sacrifice, and compassion when our country needed them most.
As we approach the 25th anniversary of that day, let the night before remind us how precious lifeโs ordinary moments truly are. Hug your loved ones a little tighter. Say โI love you.โ Choose kindness. Live with purpose and gratitude, because tomorrow is never promised.
Tomorrow, we will honor those who were lost, those who rushed in, those who served in the years that followed, and every family that continues to carry the weight of September 11.
But tonight, we remember the last ordinary night.
Never forget. Always remember. ๐บ๐ธ
