Had a good night training with the senior firefighters. Trained on VES and VIS. Always a good time when junior and senior firefighters get together.

Spent the morning burning down an old farmhouse and a couple barns. Juniors got an opportunity to get some training putting water on a fire. They had a chance to feel some heat and taste some smoke and get a scare after a canister exploded. They did well. Pictures are the best I could get from the tanker pump panel.

Due to the continued chance of rain this evening we are cancelling our Turkey Shoot for tonight. We would like to thank everyone for coming out and supporting us this year. We will hold the drawing for the Blackstone and quilt on Monday night and be in touch with those who won.

Hope everyone has a ghostly scared safe Halloween. Come by Connect Church on the corner of Highway 58 and Pack House Road for their Annual Trunk A Treat. Come by and visit some of our firefighters and grab some candy and maybe a scare or two.

Update to our Turkey Shoot Graditude Giveaway. This year for every round you shoot your name will be put in a drawing for a Blackstone 4 Burner Griddle. Simply put. You shoot 1 round your name goes in once. Shoot 100 rounds it gets put in 100 times. More you shoot the better the odds. Our way of thanking you for your support. We start Saturday night at 7. Cold rainy night at the training grounds. Junior and Senior Firefighters training on hose stream and appliances. Main focus was interior attack with a push. No hitting it hard from the yard. Great exercise with some great instruction. Thanks to Training Captain Henry, Capt.Nimmo,Capt. Childress,and Lt. Rodgers. They provided some real time techniques,ideas and lessons they have learned on the job. Its good to have these officers giving their time to the juniors and preparing them for a future in the fire service.
