There were many assumptions made here about me. Doesn't look like many of you needed my help, you appeared to be successfully executing both sides of an argument based on the idea that I am a "conservative".
Please let me know if you'd actually like to have a conversation or ask me questions.
In the meantime here are a few truths...you were so busy being sure who I am, you missed a few things
I have a gay, black family member
I am pro choice
Raised by a single mom in the 70s intimately understand women's rights.
I was a Democrat and a Republican
They are both ridiculous as are these arguments, accusations and attacks. I ignored them for that reason. Not worth participating in that insanity, again most we're doing such a great job assuming my thoughts and answers, I was completely unnecessary to the arguments.
And the only reason I chose to announce the republican recommendation was to be TRANSPARENT- which apparently everyone says they want, but really dont. I didn't want it to look like I was hiding anything. This is called integrity, in case we've forgotten what it looks like.
I had to change parties to get a d2 voice heard in the republican meeting (which is bs - they only want to hear from candidates in their party, really?) The other candidate who was, is and remains a republican couldn't make it.
So I did what should be done to be sure d2 was heard in the largest voting block in our district. And find out what the 2 active republican board members running for office had to say.
I was not impressed.
The position may be non partisan. The voters are not. And neither are most of the existing board members. Real world
Stop making assumptions.
Stop putting people in boxes based on one thing you think you know about them.
You don't know anything about me and what I believe - you were arguing with the republican party. I am not them.
For those that took the time to ask questions and hear my answers, I thank you, whether you voted for me or not. I appreciate your time and interest and the conversations.💞
