Let’s taco ‘bout next week! 🌮 Join us for a Cinco de Mayo dinner that’s nacho average night out. Good food, great company, and a whole lot of fiesta vibes.

Want to stay in and binge your favorite shows instead? Take it to-go and salsa your way to the best seat in the house (your couch).

💙🩵 It’s a good day to wear blue.

Today, the Wilmot Police Department joins the Merrimack County Advocacy Center in recognizing “Paint the County Blue” Day.

This initiative highlights Child Abuse Prevention and Sexual Assault Awareness Month. By wearing blue today, we stand in solidarity with those affected and renew our commitment to community safety and prevention.

The first few months of the year have kept us busy! In the first quarter, we answered 38 calls for service. 41% were medical calls, 18% were mutual aid requests from neighboring towns, and 10% were alarm activations caused by faulty detectors.

We’ve also had the pleasure of welcoming four new members to the department: Theo Bollenbach, Christian Wilde, Hayden Brown, and Myles Gordon. It’s always special to see new faces walk through the door and step up to serve.

We are honored to be part of today’s procession for Chief Jay Lyon as he wraps up his final day with the New London NH Fire Department. 🔥

After more than 35 years in the fire service, and 18 as New London's Fire Chief, it’s hard to put into words the impact Chief Lyon has had on this community and on so many of us personally. Through his leadership, guidance, and steady presence, he’s helped shape not only a department, but the people within it. As a life member of the Wilmot Volunteer Fire Department, his support over the years has meant more than we can say.

Chief Lyon, thank you for everything you’ve given to the fire service and to our community. Congratulations on an incredible career. You’ve more than earned this next chapter.
