Over these past weeks, you and I have had the opportunity to review and evaluate the viewpoints and agendas of the various candidates in the upcoming elections.
I endorse Terry Habermehl.
There are some commonalities, but I believe there are unique qualifications that set Terry Habermehl apart.
Terry brings excellent academic credentials to this position. He is a graduate of The Ohio State University and possesses both a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s Degree.
There is a steep learning curve for the office of county commissioner. Terry has navigated that learning curve during his five years serving as County Auditor. He is prepared to lead as a commissioner on his first day on the job. His challengers, all good people, do not have that experience.
Terry is the only candidate running to have served as an elected county office holder. He has provided good fiscal advice and counsel to the County Commissioners regarding the issues of meaningful tax relief for all county taxpayers, use of the proceeds from the sale of Clinton Memorial Hospital, paying off county debt, and economic development.
It takes courage to stand for your beliefs, even when it may not be the most popular stance, and even when you have to stand against friends. Terry has the courage, resolve, and political will to do the right and necessary things.
Terry Habermehl has a proven record of solving problems. He will bring a reasonable and tested voice to the Board of Commissioners.
I believe Terry Habermehl is the person best qualified to be our next Clinton County Commissioner.
Sincerely,
Clinton County Commissioner Pat Haley
