Happy Father’s Day to all of the dads, grandfathers, stepdads, father figures, and special men in our Lombardy community!

Thank you for the countless ways you show up for our children—whether it’s helping with homework, coaching a team, volunteering at school events, cheering from the sidelines, or simply being there when it matters most.

Today we celebrate the positive impact you make in the lives of our students every day. We hope you enjoy a well-deserved day surrounded by family, laughter, and the people who love you most.

🍎 Support Local Students This Summer! 🍎

From July 7 through August 6, 2026, Giant Food is making it easy to give back to local schools through their Round Up at the Register campaign!

When you shop at participating Giant Food stores, simply round up your purchase to the nearest dollar at checkout. Your spare change will help support local school districts, including the Brandywine School District Nutrition Program.

Every penny adds up and helps provide students with access to nutritious meals and resources that support their health, well-being, and success in the classroom.

Looking for Brandywine School District Summer Feeding Program information? We’ve made it easy! Check out the flyer below for all meal site locations, dates, and times. Please note that schedules are subject to change.

As a reminder, all children 18 years of age and younger are eligible to receive one free meal each day. Meals must be consumed on-site unless the Delaware Department of Education announces an extreme heat or air quality alert.

Summer meals are a great way to stay nourished, connect with friends, and enjoy the community. We look forward to seeing you this summer!

🎉As we wrap up the school year, we wanted to celebrate all the ways our PTA was able to invest back into our kids, teachers, and community — thanks to the Giving Campaign, our business partners, and your membership support.

This year supported so many joyful experiences: the laser light show, magic show, pie‑face fun, and cosmic foam. We hosted family favorites like movie night, the Glo Dance, and popsicles at the playground.

Your support also funded teacher and grade‑level grants that brought Kindergarten chicks, helped cover field trip costs, provided ice cream parties, and gave teachers some much‑needed relief from spending out of pocket. We were able to show staff appreciation all year long, stock the book vending machine, add superhero capes to our Big 3 assemblies, support visits from Dagda, our beloved school therapy dog, and help fund Lombardy’s new garden — a project we’re so excited to see grow.

We added Imagination Playground to recess, and more playground upgrades and new classroom chairs are on the way this summer. And of course, we loved celebrating our 5th graders with special moving‑up gifts to send them off with pride and excitement for middle school.

Beyond PTA investments, our community showed up for one another with a food drive, a hat and glove drive, and a holiday giving tree.

We appreciate you more than you know. Thank you for being part of this community, for showing up, and for making this school such a special place for every child & family.

It’s a beloved Lombardy PTA tradition to gift every rising 6th grader a lock at the Moving Up Ceremony! Congratulations to our amazing 5th graders on this exciting milestone. As you begin your next chapter, we know you’ll go on to do big things. Wherever your journey takes you, don’t forget your Lombardy Tiger roots. 🎉☕ Lombardy parents and staff, you’re in for a treat!

We always joke about how amazing it would be to have iced coffee for sale in the car line… and now we’re making it happen (sort of)! 😆

To celebrate the LAST MONDAY of school, the awesome Dark Horse Coffee Co. LLC will be at Lombardy from 8: 30 AM– 9:45AM with drinks available for purchase! 🎊

This isn’t a fundraiser—just a fun way to bring a little extra joy (and caffeine!) to our incredible school community. Because honestly, who doesn’t need a coffee to celebrate the end of Maycember and another fantastic school year? 🙌

🚗 Please note: We can’t bring coffee into the car line, but Dark Horse will be set up in the side lot. Feel free to park, stop by, and treat yourself! And if coffee isn’t your thing, don’t worry—they offer more than just coffee. 😊

PTA was proud to sponsor a portion of the 2nd grade field trip to Hagley Museum ✨ so we could help make the experience more affordable for all families. Our students had the best time stepping back into life long ago — from making lemonade 🍋, to exploring old household tools 🧺, to playing with historic toys 🧸, to trying out a school lesson ✏️, to doing the laundry the old‑fashioned way 🪣.

Their curiosity, teamwork, and joy made the whole day unforgettable ❤️

Lombardy PTA had the honor of supporting another beloved grade-level tradition for our 5th graders this week! 🍦🎉

Each year, our 5th grade students celebrate the end of the school year with an outdoor ice cream party hosted by Dino's Ice Cream & Italian Water Ice Truck. We are so grateful to help make this special event possible and give our students a fun way to celebrate all they’ve accomplished.

Congratulations to our 5th graders, and best wishes as they move on to their next adventure! 💙💛
