🚂🌿 Celebrate Red Clay Day – Sunday, September 20th!

Spend the day exploring the beautiful Red Clay Scenic Byway and make Wilmington & Western Railroad one of your stops! 🚂

Red Clay Day partner-site activities will be taking place throughout the area from 9 AM–6 PM, giving you plenty of time to explore the history, scenery and unique destinations of the Red Clay Valley.

The Marshall Steam Museum will serve as the Red Clay Day information and activity hub from 1–4 PM.

Come explore the beautiful Red Clay Valley with nature walks, tours, arts & crafts, live music, hay rides, local history and more! 🌳🎨🎶

🚂 Ride the Wilmington & Western Railroad! Hop aboard the Doodlebug at Greenbank Station at 12:30 PM for a ride to Marshallton Yard, where you’ll have the opportunity to learn about the railroad and industrial history of the Red Clay Valley before returning to Greenbank around 2:30 PM.

Bring the family and make a day of Red Clay Day! ❤️🚂

Railroads were built on hard work, and that spirit continues today. From the generations who kept the Wilmington & Western trains rolling to those who keep them moving today, hard work has always been at the heart of our railroad.

🍦🚂 Thank you, Woodside Farm Creamery, for a wonderful evening with the railroad!

Our passengers enjoyed delicious ice cream at Greenbank Station followed by a beautiful, “fall-like” train ride through the Red Clay Valley.

The cooler evening air made for the perfect ride, and everything turned out terrific!

A big thank you to Woodside Farm Creamery for helping make the evening such a special experience for our passengers. 🍂🌙🚂

🚂 A fresh new look for one of our passenger cars! ✨

A big thank you to JJID, Inc. for the incredible work restoring our passenger car floor! From sanding and prepping the worn surface to a fresh coat of paint and beautiful new finish, their hard work and attention to detail really shows.

We couldn’t be happier with the transformation. Thank you, JJID, for a job well done! 👏🚂

🚂✨ Our Site Services team recently had the pleasure of restoring the floor of a passenger car at the Wilmington & Western Railroad!

The team put in the work — sanding and prepping the worn floors, repairing damaged areas, and applying a fresh new finish to bring this historic railcar back to life. 🎨🛠️
