Our Preschool Class of 2026 has officially graduated and is heading to Kindergarten!

We are so proud of each and every one of our students and all they have accomplished this year. While we will miss seeing their smiling faces each day, we know they are ready for this exciting new adventure. We wish them the very best of luck as they begin Kindergarten and continue to learn, grow, and shine. We have no doubt that they will do great things!

Congratulations, Class of 2026! We will miss you and are cheering you on every step of the way. ❤️🎓

Thank you to the Wilmington Rotary Club for their continued support of the Head Start Program.
The Rotary Club Sponsored Head Start’s Family Fun Day with games, food, face painting and prizes. Lots of fun was had by all.

This week we have another employee highlight! Mr. Reggie!!

“Hey! I’m Reggie. I’ve spent over 8 years working with children in preschool, PreK, and Kindergarten classrooms as a teacher’s assistant and lead. Being a positive male role model and helping kids grow in confidence, character, and creativity is something I’m deeply passionate about. Especially when there’s not enough positive male role models out there.

Outside of the classroom, I serve as a youth pastor where I get the opportunity to mentor and encourage students through faith, leadership, and real-life connection. I also DJ events and weddings bringing energy, fun, and unforgettable experiences to people through music.

No matter where I’m at in a classroom, at church, or behind the DJ booth, my goal is always the same: to make a lasting impact on people and help them feel seen, valued, and encouraged. Watching kids and students grow into who they’re meant to be is one of the greatest joys of my life. Teaching is easily one of my greatest accomplishments. ☺️”

This week’s employee highlight to end the year is Ms. Tayla Mallow!

“I have been with Clinton County Head Start for 4 years and have had the opportunity to work in many different positions leading up to where I am today. I currently serve as the Behavior Specialist, and I truly enjoy helping children learn, grow, and succeed every day. My passion has always been working with children and building positive relationships with them and their families. Watching children overcome challenges, gain confidence, and smile throughout the day makes my job incredibly rewarding. The children keep me laughing and smiling daily, and they are the reason I love what I do so much.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, relaxing in my hammock, and enjoying sunny days at the pool.”
