Will County’s Household Hazardous Waste Collection is coming to Wilmington on Saturday, October 17!

If you’ve got old paint, used motor oil and filters, household batteries, electronics, fluorescent tubes, pesticides, household cleaners, medications, or other household hazardous materials taking up space, this is your opportunity to dispose of them safely and properly.

Wilmington City Hall will be closed on Monday, Sept. 7 in observance of Labor Day. City Hall will resume normal hours of operation on Tuesday, Sept. 8. The City wishes a happy Labor Day to everyone!

Residents of 32245 to 32665 West River Road, Kerry Lane, Kerry Court & Riverside Court:

The Boil Order that has been in effect for your area since 08/26/2026 is now lifted. Removal of this boil order also releases any/all food service establishments to reopen.

The water main was repaired, flushed, sampled, and tested on 08/26/2026. The passing results were received from the laboratory on 8/27/2026 around 05:04 pm.

There is still still a boil order for the following addresses on West River Road: 32104 to 32164. We are waiting for yesterday's sample results and will post the removal notice once we receive them.
