Join us for the 2nd Annual NHC Language Access Summit!

πŸ“… Thursday, Sept. 10, 2026
πŸ•’ 3–7 p.m.
πŸ“ NHC Government Center
230 Government Center Drive, Wilmington

The summit will bring together residents, local government representatives, community leaders, advocates, interpreters, health care professionals and educators to promote communication access and inclusion for Deaf, Hard of Hearing, DeafBlind and Limited English Proficient communities across New Hanover County. The summit is co-sponsored by the NC Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Services for Deaf and Hard of Hearing.

Presentations will explore:

β€’ Health care access and advocacy
β€’ Community rights
β€’ Available resources
β€’ Language access awareness and education

ASL interpreters, Communication Access Realtime Translation (CART), Wordly translation and other language access services will be provided upon request.

Registration is free, but seating is limited.
