It’s National Arts in Education Week in Delaware!

Thank you to Governor Matt Meyer for officially proclaiming September 13-19, 2026, as National Arts in Education Week in the First State.

As the Governor’s proclamation recognizes, arts education strengthens creativity, critical thinking, communication, confidence, and collaboration while helping students develop skills that carry into the classroom, the workplace, and their communities.

The Delaware Division of the Arts is proud to work alongside educators, teaching artists, schools, cultural organizations, libraries, museums, and community partners to expand meaningful arts learning opportunities for students across our state.

This week, we celebrate the educators and organizations making arts education possible - and reaffirm the importance of ensuring every Delaware student has the opportunity to learn, create, and grow through the arts.

We were honored to play a small role in helping bring the new NoMa Library to life!

The Delaware Division of the Arts worked with the Wilmington Public Library to help coordinate local artists whose work is now on display throughout this incredible new space - ensuring that Delaware's creativity is part of the experience from the moment visitors walk through the doors.

More than a place to borrow books, NoMa was designed as a hub for creativity, innovation, learning, and connection, with spaces for makers, musicians, content creators, entrepreneurs, families, and more.

We’re proud to have helped connect Delaware artists with a new community space that celebrates creativity in so many forms, and we congratulate the Wilmington Public Library and everyone who helped make NoMa a reality!

From Bethany to Brandywine, it’s a joyful weekend for the arts in Delaware!

The Delaware Division of the Arts is proud to have a presence at both the Bethany Beach Boardwalk Arts Festival and the Brandywine Festival of the Arts this weekend - celebrating creativity on both ends of our state.

We’re also proud to sponsor both festivals, helping create opportunities for individual artists to share their work, connect with new audiences, and be part of vibrant communities across the State of Delaware.

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate, support, and connect with Delaware’s creative community this weekend—and especially to the artists who shared their work and helped make both festivals such vibrant celebrations of the arts.

What a great night at Art Loop Wilmington!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by Friday evening to experience the exhibition featuring the work of artist Alan B. Tuttle. We loved welcoming visitors into the gallery and seeing so many people connect through art and conversation.

If you couldn’t make it during Art Loop - or want to take another look - there’s still time! We invite you to visit Alan B. Tuttle’s exhibition before it closes on September 25.

Here are a few moments from a wonderful evening of art and community.
