Join us Thursday, September 17th at 7:30pm at the Wilmington Senior Center (doors open at 6:30pm) for an evening of conversation with Allegra Goodman. She’ll discuss her latest novel, This Is Not About Us, her writing process, and more.

Save the Date for the 2026 Power Week Open House! 🔌💡⚡

📅: Thursday, October 8, 2026

🕒: 3 to 6 p.m.

📍: RMLD, 230 Ash St., Reading, MA 01867

This year's open house will feature family-friendly activities such as face painting, balloon art, caricatures, pumpkin decorating, lineworker demonstrations, touch-a-truck, and more.

RMLD staff and industry partners will be on hand to educate attendees about electricity, electrical safety, energy conservation, and to share information about our programs.

The 2026 Open House will also include a special guest appearance by the Sanderson Sisters, some tasty treats, and more.

It’s !

If your commute felt a little longer today, you weren’t imagining it. School is back in session, buses are on the road, summer vacations are over, and several construction projects have joined forces to test everyone’s patience.

Please allow extra time in the morning, have patience, slow down in school zones, and watch for children waiting at bus stops or riding their bikes to school.

We are also continuing to step up speed enforcement in our school zones. We are literally telling you where we will be running enforcement. You really can’t ask for a better warning than that!

Leave earlier, slow down, and help everyone get where they are going safely.
