Invasive species alert - Insect Glassy Wing Sharpshooter
If you bought grapevine plants from Costco recently, see the alert below or contact the Glenn County Department of Agricultural at 530-934-6501

⚠️ CONSUMER ALERT ⚠️

The Glenn County Department of Agriculture is advising residents to take precautions after invasive glassy-winged sharpshooters (GWSS) were found on grapevine shipments delivered to Costco locations in Northern California between April 21 and May 19.

This invasive pest poses a serious threat to vineyards and can also impact residential plants and landscapes.

Community cooperation is critical in helping prevent the spread of this invasive pest and protecting local agriculture.

Please see the press release from our Agricultural Commissioner for additional information.
