Today is Family Health & Fitness Day, celebrated on the second Saturday in June each year. It is the perfect opportunity to get outside and enjoy all that Willowbrook has to offer. Whether you take a walk, shoot some hoops, enjoy a picnic, explore a playground, or simply spend time in nature, there are plenty of ways for the whole family to stay active together. From Borse Memorial Community Park to neighborhood parks and open green spaces throughout the community, Willowbrook has something for everyone. Grab the kids and join us at Borse Memorial Community Park on Wednesday, June 17, or Wednesday, June 24, between 10:00 AM and12:00 PM and add your fingerprint to a one-of-a-kind community mural being created by the College of DuPage Art Department. As the first round of storms exits the area in northwest Indiana, additional storms are now moving across northern Illinois. The primary hazard with these storms will be damaging winds and lightning. The threat of significant severe weather, including the potential for tornadoes increases as we head into the early evening hours along the cold front which is approaching the Mississippi River. A Tornado Watch is in effect until 9 PM CDT. Have multiple ways to receive warning information!

There is a threat for strong (EF-2+) tornadoes across northern Illinois this afternoon between 4 and 8 PM. The highest threat will be in the dark red shaded area. This area has shifted farther south than previously forecast. Take tornado warnings seriously, and have multiple ways to get warning information today.
