Attention: Changes to Hoopla Digital!

Hoopla operates on a price-per-checkout model, meaning so while it's free to library patrons, the library pays between $.99 and $3.99 for every checkout. As hoopla has become more popular our monthly expenses have grown.

To help us better manage our costs while continuing to provide access to this popular digital service, starting September 1, UMFPL will be implementing a daily spending cap to Hoopla. This sets an overall dollar amount limit that, once reached, will pause Hoopla checkouts until the next day.

-Your individual checkout limit remains at 5 per month. Borrowing only what you're actively reading helps the library manage these costs!
-You will see new messaging in the app and browser once the daily limit is reached. See our screenshot for a sample.
-Please use the Favorites button in Hoopla to add titles to your TBR list instead of borrowing before you're ready to read.
-Get more out of Hoopla with BingePass (special collections of unlimited content) and Bonus Borrows (specific titles that are available the last week of the month).

Here are our programs for the upcoming week. We hope to see you at one of our events. Note that the Fall "Cook Your Way Through" cookboook discussion group will be in 3 parts (once monthly). The Surprise Inside Sculpting Class on Friday is taught by a local artist and will have attendees make their own mug to take home.
