On Tuesday June 9, 2026, the Upper Moreland High School will hold the commencement ceremony for the UMHS Class of 2026! UMPD would like to advise motorists well in advance that this heavily attended event will cause significant delays in the area beginning at approximately 5pm until 9pm. Please plan on leaving extra time for your commute during that time or consider an alternate route.

For the family and friends of the graduates attending graduation, please read and follow the instructions regarding parking from the Upper Moreland School District. Contact the school district with any questions or concerns. The school district communication sent to attendees regarding parking can be found here:

Parking for Graduation (Guests Requiring Additional Parking or Drop Off Assistance)

Due to safety reasons, access to Bear Boulevard will be closed on the evening of graduation. Individuals will not be permitted to drive directly to the stadium to drop guests off. Shuttles will run continuously (approximately every 10-15 minutes) from 5:30 until 6:45 pm. The last shuttle will depart promptly at 6:45 pm. The graduation ceremony begins promptly at 7:00 pm.

At the end of the ceremony, please meet the shuttle at the Bear Boulevard entrance of the stadium. The shuttle will run from the end of the ceremony until 9:00 pm.

Parking is available in the UMHS A LOT (near the office entrance), D LOT (between Reed & Brooks Streets), & Eastern Center on a first-come basis.

UMPD aims to build connections with conversation and education. Last week, two of our members were invited to share their unique experience and expertise with community groups.

Detective Gallagher partnered with FCCB Bank in Huntingdon Valley to offer a fraud and crimes targeting the elderly presentation to their members. Thank you to the many folks that attended!

Officer Snyder and K9 Maximus met with the protective services classes at Eastern Tech School to answer questions and show off their skills. Thank you to Mr. Raggi who was brave enough to be the “bad guy” in their demonstration!

If we can serve your group, organization, school or community event through educational outreach or public safety presentations, please email [email protected].
