Lake County HIT members train on taking a gas sample from the Lake County Bomb Squad's containment vessel. In the event the FBI or other agency requires a sample of an explosive device or material mitigated by the bomb squad, the HIT team would be called in to obtain the sample which would be considered a hazardous materials function.
