Big news: Nick Martin is joining NAMI Vermont as our new Executive Director, starting September 14!

With a wealth of experience in both public and private sectors, Nick has dedicated his career to supporting underserved communities. Nick brings a strong background advocating for youth, supporting individuals with medical concerns and mental health challenges, and leading BayMark Health Services as the Treatment Center Director, directly working with populations affected by substance misuse.

From 2016 to 2021, Nick worked as NAMI Vermont's Program Director, organizing support programs, supervising and training volunteers, and overseeing program activities to ensure quality. Nick states that his role as NAMI Vermont's Program Director "significantly shaped my professional growth and deepened my commitment to advancing mental health support and advocacy."

Nick's empathy for vulnerable populations, professional experience, passion for mental health advocacy, and familiarity with our organization's processes, mission, and programs make him an ideal person to lead our organization. The staff and Board of NAMI Vermont are thrilled to welcome Nick Martin to the team as we move forward together to support Vermonters affected by mental health conditions.
