In the rush of back to school, I forgot to finish introducing you to the rest of our amazing staff.
First, we had a change in our speech and language pathologist. Please welcome Ms. Barman to Garden Valley!
💚Ms. Barman
Welcome to Garden Valley Ms. Barman. She will be our speech and language pathologist working with our speech and language kiddos on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
She comes to us from private practice.
This summer she watched her kids play baseball, basektball, and vollyball. She enjoyed lake time, fishing and golf. She attended a few concerts and the state fair.
She is excited for the school year and to be at Garden Valley.
Now, last, but certainly not least, the staff members who keep our school running smoothly, keep or school clean and safe, and keep our students nourished for a full day of learning, meet our office, custodial, and kitchen staff along with our School Resource Deputy.
💚Mrs. Bennett
Mrs. Bennett is our school secretary and has been out on leave. We are excited to welcome her back today and thank Miss Y. for her help in the office during this busy time of the year.
This summer she traveled to Las Vegas, Minnesota, Canada, and all over North Dakota.
Her favorite memory of last school year is when the staff and students decorated her office as bright as the sun. She felt so loved and appreciated and she wants every to know that she loves our school family!
She is looking forward to meeting all of the new students and showing them all the wonderful and unique things at Garden Valley. She wants to show them that Garden Valley is their home too!

Ms. Kathy is our night janitor.
This summer she went to Dickinson.
Ms. Kathy’s favorite memory of last year was all th smiling faces.
She is looking forward to another new year and seeing all the kids.
💚Mr. Chester
This summer he traveled to Yellowstone National Park and watched the Medora Musical.
His favorite memory from last school year was helping keep our school clean, safe, and welcoming.
He is looking forward to a wonderful school year together and making our school safe, clean and welcoming.
💚Mrs. Michelle
This summer she traveled to Custer, SD .
Her favorite memory from last school year was watching all the kiddos travel on our school-wide travel days!
She is looking forward to making sure the kiddos are fed.
💚Mrs. Jean
This summer she traveled to Michigan and spent two months with family. She also went camping with her granddaughter.
Her favorite part of the last school year was watching the 5th graders making their bread from scratch and baking it for them for the Bread Fair Day.
She is looking forward to the new boundary and getting to know different students and seeing the returning ones.
💚Deputy Holm
Deputy Holm went camping and fishing this summer.
His favorite memory from last school year was the travel days when everyone got to travel to different countries.
He is looking forward to meeting all the new kids and seeing returning students.
