📚 Nursery rhymes are coming to life at Rickard!

Mrs. Kristin Jones’ students have been learning about nursery rhymes through their CKLA reading program.

A couple of class favorites have been “Ring Around the Rosie” and “Jack Be Nimble,” which even gave students the chance to try jumping over a candlestick! 🕯️

Thank you to Mrs. Jones for sharing these fun photos and a peek into learning in her classroom! 💜

📌 REMINDER - IMMUNIZATIONS
North Dakota Century Code 23-07-17 requires all students in kindergarten through Grade 12 to meet minimum immunization requirements.

By October 1 each year, students must either be up to date on required immunizations or have a current exemption form on file for that school year. Students who do not meet either requirement will be excluded from school until they are in compliance.

You can access your student's immunization records through the Docket app, which connects to North Dakota’s official immunization system (NDIIS) and also a few other states. https://docket.care/

Note: Exemption forms do not carry over and must be resubmitted annually.

Updated immunization information can be submitted to the secretary at the school office or by email. Find secretary email addresses at: WillistonSchools.org/contact

✨ PARA HIGHLIGHT: Behavioral Support Paras

Classroom paras, one-on-one paras, special education paras... but are you familiar with Behavioral Support Paras?

Today’s Para Highlight features Ms. Krystine and Ms. Linette at Williston High School! 🧡🖤

Behavioral Support Paras help keep the school day running smoothly while providing an important layer of support for students and staff. They build relationships with students, stay aware of what’s happening throughout the school, and step in early to help redirect situations before problem behaviors have a chance to escalate. 🤝

In their roles at WHS, Ms. Krystine and Ms. Linette support students in different ways, from monitoring hallways, assisting with questions, checking people in and out at designated entrances, and issuing tardy slips to helping operate the in-school suspension program. There, students have a structured setting where they can complete their schoolwork and get back on track. 📚

⭐ Interested in becoming a para? Join us at our Paraprofessional Hiring Event!
