Campfires, fresh air, and a weekend away made for a great Guys Camping Trip!

Some of the Wranglers recently went on a camping adventure, enjoying life outdoors, sharing meals around the campsite, and spending quality time together away from their normal routines. Between the conversations, laughter, and late nights by the fire, the trip created memories they’ll be talking about for a long time. ⛺🔥

Getting out into nature together always brings a different kind of connection and experience.

Clay, creativity, and a little patience come together in Ceramics class!

The Wranglers have been learning pottery wheel techniques and working with clay by hand, carefully shaping each piece as it spins. 🏺 From centering the clay to forming the final design, every project takes focus, coordination, and imagination.

One of the most rewarding parts of the process is seeing how differently each Wrangler approaches the same subject, resulting in pieces that are completely unique to them. ✨

We loved spending the day with our friends from Studio 22 Pilates! ✨

During their visit to the ranch, they had the opportunity to see the Wranglers in action throughout the program and experience what life at New Danville looks like firsthand. From creative projects to hands-on learning, it was a wonderful experience filled with connection.

The Science closet was full of possibilities during class this week!

Using different materials and a lot of imagination, the Wranglers created everything from a teepee and farmhouse to a boxer, surfer, and even an interpretation of the 11th dimension diagram.

Science class gives our Wranglers the freedom to explore ideas in their own way, and no two creations ever turn out alike; you never know where their imaginations will lead next. 🔬💫

Last month, the Mavericks made heartfelt gifts for the moms and mother figures in their lives in celebration of Mother’s Day. 🌹

This project was all about creating something from start to finish, with every step requiring focus and creativity. They mixed and measured custom soaps and scrubs, designed personalized Mother’s Day cards, and carefully packaged each gift bag by hand, complete with fresh roses.

It was an exciting opportunity for the Mavericks to create something meaningful, pouring love and thought into every decision. The pride on their faces said it all!

What does a day at New Danville really look like? 💙

At this year’s Spring Thing Luncheon, we shared a special video following board member Janine Jones as she stepped into the daily life of a Wrangler, attending classes, participating in activities, building friendships, and experiencing the heart of our community firsthand.

What she discovered was more than a schedule or a program. She experienced a community where adults with IDD are supported, encouraged, and given opportunities to live with purpose, connection, dignity, and belonging.

Thank you, Janine, for spending the day alongside our Wranglers and helping share the story of New Danville in such a meaningful way!

There’s something special about watching creativity unfold without rules or expectations.

In Let’s Craft class, the Wranglers explored abstract art by pulling string through acrylic paint to create one-of-a-kind designs and unexpected patterns. No two pieces looked alike; each creation reflected a different perspective. 🖼️

Sometimes the best part of the creative process is simply seeing where it leads!

Science class was full of curiosity, discovery, and a little bit of fizz! 🧪

The Wranglers explored the chemical reaction between vinegar and baking soda, learning how simple ingredients can interact powerfully when combined. Through hands-on experiments like this, our Wranglers are encouraged to ask questions, think creatively, and experience the joy of learning in an engaging and supportive environment.

Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

This Memorial Day, we reflect with gratitude for their courage, service, and sacrifice, and we remember the families and loved ones who carry their legacy forward. Because of their sacrifice, communities like New Danville have the opportunity to live, learn, work, grow, and thrive together.
