Willington Parks & Recreation

Willington Parks & Recreation Play. Explore. Connect. – Bringing Our Community Together Through Sports, Activities & Outdoors! "The first wealth is health" -Ralph Waldo Emerson

In an ongoing effort to provide the citizens of Willington with programs and facilities for everyone's recreational needs, the Willington Parks and Recreation Department will always commit its resources to expand and adapt to those needs. The Willington Parks and Recreation Department in association with the Public Works Department and outside contractors, will maintain the playing fields at Hall

School and Center School, the River Road Athletic Complex and the Town Hall Offices. By offering a diverse group of recreational programs with the equipment and facilities to safely and properly implement these programs, we hope to get our community to "come out and play". Good health, social interaction, and promoting learning of new physical and mental skills are available to everyone who wants to participate.

🚨 NEW CT LAW FOR PADDLERS 🚨

If you plan to use a paddle board, canoe, or kayak this summer take note of a new Connecticut law. Don't risk a $120 fine.

ALL vessels are required to have a contact name, and at least one phone number displayed. This is a safety measure for first responders to determine if a found or drifting vessel is connected to an emergency situation.

Make sure the contact info is in a location that is visible, waterproof, and protected from wear.

DEEP is providing free "If Found" stickers. Click the link to get yours today. Stay safe and enjoy the water! πŸ›ΆπŸš£β€β™€οΈ

The "If Found" sticker for manually propelled and other non-registered boats was designed to help save lives, recover missing property, and reduce the time, effort and resources expended on non-emergency search and rescues.
