Yesterday, members of the Willingboro Fire Department – C-Shift responded to a reported electric vehicle fire. Crews arrived to find the vehicle heavily involved in fire, with a large volume of fire and smoke showing.

EV fires present unique challenges due to their high-voltage battery systems and potential for re-ignition.

Great work by C-Shift and all personnel who operated on scene. 👨‍🚒🔥

Please join us on Monday, October 5, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm for the annual Fire Prevention Open House at Willingboro FIRE & EMS Headquarters located at the corner of Charleston Road & JFK Way. The fire department will focus on simple steps people can take to recharge safely. Safe charging means making safe choices every time you plug in. Various vendors will also be present at the firehouse along with fire trucks on display. We look forward to seeing everyone!!

The Willingboro Fire Department will host our Annual Touch A Truck Event on Thursday, August 20, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The event will be held at the Kennedy Center front parking lot located 429 JFK Way. Please come by and see all different kinds of emergency service trucks along with many other trucks we see on the roadways. This is a SILENT event which means no sirens or loud engines will be on while on display. So, bring your children and cameras as they get up close inside many different trucks. We hope to see you there!

EMPLOYEE BENEFITS:
- Hourly Rate: $28.00 per hour.
- Uniforms, Boots, & Required Training Provided.
- Holiday Compensation Pay.
- Earn Up to 40 Hours Accumulated Sick Leave (NJ Earned Sick Leave Law N.J.A.C. 34:11D-1).
- Professional Work Environment.
- Equipped with Lucas Devices and Stryker Powerload Stretchers.
- Flexible Scheduling.

REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Graduate or G.E.D. equivalency.
- Valid Emergency Medical Technician (State of New Jersey or National Registry).
- Valid BLS CPR Certification.
- Must have valid New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission Driver’s License.
- Training in NIMS levels I-100/I-700 and Hazmat Awareness.
- Two years experience preferred, but not required.
- Emergency vehicle driving experience with completion of a CEVO or EVOC driver-training
program or must obtain when course is available.

Early this morning at 1:14 AM, Willingboro Fire Department responded to a structure fire at the well-known Grand Marketplace. The fire originated on the roof and was quickly brought under control by crews. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and thankfully no injuries were reported.

New Hire Announcement

The Willingboro Fire Department is pleased to announce the newest member of our team, Joseph Feliciano who has joined us as a probationary firefighter as of Friday, May 8, 2026. Firefighter Feliciano is currently assigned to the C-platoon. Firefighter Feliciano joined the fire service as a volunteer firefighter with Lenola Fire Company in January 2023.
We are confident that Firefighter Feliciano skills and dedication will be a tremendous asset to our department. Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Firefighter Joseph Feliciano as he begins this important role.
