🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 Today, we reflect back twenty five years, on the horrific attacks that occurred on our nation. We remember and cherish those precious lives lost that day, and we will never forget.

We also honor all the first responders, including several Monroe Township Police Officers (Retired Deputy Chief Jon Rumpf now serving Monroe as our Public Safety Director, Retired Detective Sergeant Greg Wolfe now serving Monroe as Mayor, and Retired Sergeant Brian Reeve).

We also honor our numerous volunteer EMS, from both the Cecil (Derek DeFelice, Steve Murchec, George Wagner, Anna Mills), Monroe EMS and Williamstown Fire Departments, who were deployed to ground zero, immediately after the attacks occurred. We thank them all for their service. 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸

Last night, the Monroe Township Police Department was proud to hold a Promotional and Swearing-In Ceremony before family and friends, recognizing several members of our department as they take the next step in their careers.

As a result of recent retirements within the department, the ceremony formally recognized both yesterday’s promotions and also members who had previously assumed their new ranks:

Promoted to Lieutenant
• Pete McBride
• Anthony Rivera
• John Hennessy
• Donald Darcangelo
Promoted to Sergeant
• John Vanleer
• Andrew Sharp
• William Pintozzi
• RJ Heffner

The evening also included the ceremonial swearing-in of three of our newest police officers. These officers were hired earlier this year and have since successfully graduated from the police academy:

Sworn In as Police Officers

• Kyle Bowers
• Joshua Bevan

We congratulate each of these officers on this important milestone and wish them continued success as they take on their new roles and responsibilities. 💙👏👮
