Bailey Lovenguth for Oswego County Legislature District 4 “Be the rainbow in someone else’s cloud”- Maya Angelou

My life is defined not be what i can get out of it, but how i can help those around me.

Let us work together to give all in this community a sound roof, a full belly, and a stable home life.

Happy Pride month to all the members of my community who work to build a better community, who seek to forge connections in society, and who aspire daily to show that the easiest way to dispel the fear of the unknown is to become known. Every person walking the streets today is a living, breathing human being who is worthy of initial respect, and the opportunity to demonstrate they deserve lasting respect.

It’s time we move into the future where everyone is treated equally, and where people are allowed to live and love as they see fit!

Happy Pride!!!

I found out this weekend of the passing of David Holst, the longstanding legislator representing Oswego County District 4, the gentleman I ran against last year, and the gentleman I chose to run against this year. I chose to keep my silence until it was made public. He was a good family man, a committed businessman, and a pillar of the Amboy community. His passing is a loss for all of us. My family’s condolences go out to his extended family; may you have time to grieve, to center yourself with your family, as I was able to do when my father passed in 2024. My deepest prayers also go out to Dave’s grandson who is having health issues of his own.

I chose to run for office because I felt I could provide energy and ideas to help our beautiful community grow and improve, not because Dave was not a good legislator; far from it! I still feel I can provide that to our community, and ultimately the county. I’m running on accessibility, accountability, and integrity. At the end of the day, we all are striving to make our towns and villages better. Let’s bring the energy to continually improve Parish and Amboy year by year.

As the daughter and granddaughter of veterans, who was lucky enough to have them both come home to our family, I have the deepest respect to the families who did not get that privilege. Today we honor those who signed a blank check to this country to protect it for their families, and we pay tribute to those who paid the maximum value on that check. This is not a “happy” holiday, by any means. Have an Honorable Memorial Day, full of kindness, empathy, and support for those who are not here to be with their families.

We've got enough politicians in office. We need a whole lot more Patriots who will put country before party.

I’m honored to be endorsed by Patriot PAC NY, ’s organization dedicated to building the bench of servant leaders across the state of New York!

Patriot PAC is my 2nd endorsement, and one I’m very excited to work with!

This is the definition of what working as a team means for me. We should all work to help each other, and just one person working counter to the teamwork mentality creates a mess. This goes to show it doesn’t matter where you live, whether in an affluent neighborhood or a poor neighborhood, it all takes people working together. It doesn’t matter if people start helping out later on, if the initial problem isn’t fixed, it will eventually ruin the final product.

Let’s work together to make our County and district an amazing place for everyone to live, work, and raise a family!

In the year 2026, how are we paying our road crews that are charged with maintaining our road conditions so little? That is not a minimum wage job, we need to bring parity to our communities, and pay our road crews comparably to our school bus drivers. They both are responsible for our children’s safety, and the road crews make sure we all get from point A to point B safely; plus better pay means a higher quality product that benefits the entire community.

My 2nd year at the Democratic Rural Convention, 2 days of team building, looking for solutions to the challenges affecting our rural communities, and brainstorming ways to advocate for those who need help the most. I was pleased to meet Senator Kristen Gillibrand, Congressman Tonko, several State Senators and Assembly members, in addition to amazing people who are running for office across the state. Of course, I couldn’t forget to thank my road partner, Oswego County Legislator Gena Bartlett! Teamwork and connections is how we continue to grow New York as an amazing place to live and work.

Congratulations to the new legislators who will work to bring growth and opportunity to Oswego County. While I did not get the result I was hoping for, I am happy with the effort I showed, and intend to continue to support the growth of our County Legislature. Because everyone should be challenged to grow; challenge makes people better humans.

Congratulations to the 6 new members of the Oswego County Legislature:
-Lee Walker
-Christine Novak
-Dorothy Caldwell
-Joseph Arduini
-Gena Bartlett
-Ryan Taylor

Thank you for stepping up to serve the interests of the people of Oswego County.

Courtney Yawman is staging a write in campaign for District 7, representing mainly Mexico and a portion of Richland. She’s an impressive candidate who will always put her community’s needs first above her own.
