The weather forecast today is looking increasingly bad. We have never seen school closures and early dismissals for spring weather, so that's our first sign this is significant.

Now is the time to review emergency and communication plans for home and work, check those batteries, review generator safety, and be prepared.

Clients, past and present, review your plans and take appropriate pre-storm measures, if you have any questions, call us.

Despite the cool, dreary weather, we facilitated a great table-top exercise hosted by the Knox County Nursing Home in Edina, MO. With representatives from Edina Fire, Knox County Rescue, Knox County Ambulance, Baring Fire, Hurdland Fire, Knox County Emergency Management and the Knox County Commission participating, the first responders, government agencies and the nursing home discussed actions to be taken if the facility had to evacuate its residents in an emergency.

With the lives of so many at stake, an emergency here is a community affair, and those who participated demonstrated great knowledge and coordination during the exercise. Thank you to all who participated, and we at Disaster Prep Solutions look forward to seeing you for training and exercises again!
