We would like to invite all kids to decorate pumpkins for our contest!! Bring your finished pumpkin to the Martin County Farmers Market on Friday, October 9th to be displayed during the Fall Market on Saturday, October 10th! Prizes will be given to the winners of each age category.

The Great Southeast Pollinator Census took place Friday and Saturday, Aug. 21 and 22.

The Pollinator Count Party this past Friday went really well. Our citizen scientists worked hard for the Great Southeast Pollinator Census. Thank you to everyone who came out and counted! (also those who counted at home!) It is greatly appreciated!

I'd like to extend a big thank you to NCCES - Martin County Center for all their help and support as well!

Tomorrow is the day! We will be counting anytime from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. Kids and adults are all welcome at any point within that timeframe!

Martin County Soil and Water Conservation District will host a Pollinator Count Party on Aug. 21 at the SWCD Office in Williamston. The N.C. Cooperative Extension Service will assist with educational stations, including “Cooking with Honey” and “Pollinators Help Gardens Grow.”

Three more days until our Pollinator Count Party! We will be going forward with the count rain or shine. If the weather gets bad, we will go inside and do other activities to prepare you for an at home count.
