Just a friendly reminder for the citizens of Martin County as the season of stealing is all year round..We ask you to help law enforcement officials by keeping an inventory of your property to include taking photographs of any and all items that have a serial number. Law enforcement has been successful in times past with returning property due to having a serial number to compare when information is given of a location the would be thief is holding your property. Record serial numbers for fi****ms, to include the make and model as well. Four wheelers, dirt bikes, tv's as well as numerous other properties containing a serial number have been returned in many cases and are helpful in the arrest and return of property for justice. Famous words of a known thief when asked why did you take all these people's property is "Because they left it out there for me" Make sure to keep your property in a barn under lock and key and not visible for the midnight hour thieves. Cameras are a great tool for law enforcement these days and help aid in the identifying of thieves and quick apprehension of crooks. This is just a quick tip to help prepare you in case you become target.. TAKE A BITE OUT OF CRIME!
