We are very proud of Mason Bell. He started with us as a junior firefighter and is still very active in our department. He was awarded Outstanding Senior in the ACTC Firefighter Program. He currently has been offered a full time job at Anderson City Fire.

Williamston firefighters along with police officers responded to a grass and woods fire at the intersection of Minor Street and Middleton Blvd. Officer Manter of the Williamston police arrived just before the fire department and saw the seriousness of the situation. The fire was less than 6 feet from a 2 story apartment complex. He immediately began knocking on doors and evacuating residents adjacent to the fire. Firefighters arrived soon afterwards and quickly extinguished the fire.

Williamston firefighters set up a landing zone for Med-Trans 1 this afternoon. A patient was flown to the hospital after a fall along West Main Street. Medshore and a QRV also responded to the call. Williamston police officers closed the roadway as they investigated the incident.

Williamston and West Pelzer firefighters 🚒 responded to a fiery 🔥 two vehicle wreck on Greenville Drive. Medshore 🚑, a paramedic, and Williamston police officers also responded. Miraculously there were no injuries. Police officers 👮‍♂️ directed traffic ⚠️ around the scene until the wreckage was cleared.

As part of CTE Month, we're celebrating student pathways and highlighting the impact of Career and Technical Education by sharing alumni stories. Mr. Guest is proud to feature Justin Austin.

Meet Justin Austin, a 2025 graduate of Palmetto High School and ACTC's Firefighting/EMT Program. The training and certifications Justin earned while at ACTC equipped him with the credentials needed to begin employment after high school graduation.

Today, Justin serves as a Firefighter with the Greenville City Fire Department, beginning his career just months after completing the Firefighting/EMT program.

Justin shares: "Without the firefighting course at ACTC, I would not have had the opportunity to go straight into work. Not even three months after graduating the program, I was starting my career. ACTC Firefighting set me up for success, and I am beyond grateful for ACTC and the dedication they show their students."

We're proud to feature Justin and to celebrate his story. Many alumni have followed a similar ACTC-to-workforce pathway, obtaining certifications and/or licenses to begin work immediately after high school graduation.
