📢 Attention Water and Sewer Customers!

The Town of Williamston Board of Commissioners recently approved updates to certain fees and non-payment procedures. These changes will become effective July 1, 2026.

The Late Fee, applied at 8 am on the 20th of each month for non-payment, will increase from $25.00 to $50.00.

Cut off for non-payment will be moved from the 21st to the 25th of each month, giving customers additional time to pay.

A Disconnect Administrative Fee will be added in the amount of $100.00 at 8 am on the 25th for non-payment for any account on the cut-off list.

Renter Utility Deposits will increase from $175.00 to $275.00. This will not affect customers who have already provided a deposit unless a change in service address occurs.

The Williamston Fire Rescue EMS Department is seeking qualified, dedicated individuals to join our team in serving the community.

💼 Starting Salaries:
• Firefighter/AEMT – $46,598
• Firefighter Trainee/AEMT – $44,380
• Firefighter/EMT – $42,268

Applicants must have (or obtain within required timeframes) NC Class B Driver’s License, NC EMT Basic Certification, NC Firefighter Certification, and Hazardous Materials Awareness. EMT-Advanced required within 24 months of hire.
