A woman was left homeless Thursday night when fire destroyed her residence at 730 Starr Road, less than a mile off of Warrensville Road, in Loyalsock Township.

When you hear a siren or see a vehicle approaching from any direction with flashing red lights or a combination of red and blue lights, you must:

• Pull over to the curb or side of the road and stop.
• Drive parallel and as near to the curb as possible. On one-way streets, drive toward the nearest roadside and stop.
• Stay clear of intersections.
• Start driving again after the emergency vehicle passes you, keeping at least 500 feet away from it.
• Make sure another emergency vehicle is not coming.

Tanker 18, Car 18, Chief 3-18, and in-quarters crew responded to incident early hours supporting Montoursville Fire Department.

Tonight we say bon voyage to Rescue 18 as it begins its journey to its new home in Chile. It will leave early tomorrow morning by truck to Port of Delaware, where it gets loaded onto an express barge, traveling two weeks at sea to its new home in Chile. Congratulations to Octava Antofagasta, 8th Maximilian Poblete Fire Company!

Car 18-44, Engine 18-44, Chief 18, Tanker 18, Ambulance 18, MICU 18, and Special Unit 18 responded to the incident in Gamble Township. While crews operated there, Mobile Air 18 responded to incident in the City of Williamsport.
