250 backpacks, packed and ready for a new school year! 🎒

Last month, ACES North America joined Faith Impact Foundation in the Dominican Republic for their annual school supply and medical outreach.

Along with 250 backpacks filled with school supplies, volunteers prepared packages of common medicines to help support children and families in five communities.

This year was especially meaningful because ACES was able to be there in person, working alongside our local partners as everything was prepared for distribution.

From the Dominican Republic to Williamsport! ⚾🇩🇴💙

The Little League World Series brings people from around the world to our own backyard each summer, and this year brought an especially meaningful connection for ACES North America.

Our Executive Director Kelly Uhland and her son Jamesalong with board member Mike Bower had the opportunity to spend some time with the Caribbean Region team from the Dominican Republic, alongside ACES Secretary Mike Bower. We also had ACES volunteers lending a hand during the festivities here in Williamsport!

Moments like these are a wonderful reminder of the connections that can grow between communities, even thousands of miles apart.

Learning about saving is a little more fun when you make the piggy bank yourself. 💙🐷

One of the activities during the recent El Taller program gave children a chance to create and decorate their own piggy banks while learning about the importance of saving.

And judging by this smile, we think this one was a hit. 😊

Board Member Spotlight: John Sacharok 💙

For nearly a decade, John Sacharok has brought a passion for sustainable agriculture, local communities, and thoughtful leadership to the ACES North America Board of Directors.

John joined the board in 2017 after connecting with ACES founder Linell during a coffee expedition. With more than 40 years of experience in the natural foods and beverage industries, he brings a unique perspective shaped by a career focused on sustainable sourcing, ethical food systems, and supporting local communities.

Passionate about making a difference, John founded Golden Valley Roasters, helped establish the Artisan Exchange, and later launched Cultivation to Cup to promote sustainable agriculture and responsible sourcing.

We’re grateful for John’s years of leadership, insight, and commitment to ACES' mission! 💙
