Williamsport Indiana Fire Department Williamsport Volunteer Fire Department is a 20 member department serving the town of Williamsport. Station 1 is located at 21 Front St. Monroe. Monroe St. 47993.

Our department consists of two engines, a tanker, brush truck, rehab/support vehicle and a Ranger UTV. and station 2 is located at 5 N. Our mailing address is 29 N.

Let's unite to celebrate Justin Hurd's life at the Sterling Christian Church in Veedersburg, IN, on Thursday from 4 pm to 8 pm, where your presence will be a powerful tribute. We kindly ask that you bring any apparatus , with setup beginning at 3 pm. On Saturday, we'll come together again at 11 am at the Friends and Family Funeral Home in Wingate, IN, for a memorial service. Emergency responders, your dedication will shine bright if you assemble at 10 am with your vehicles, ready to honor Justin's memory as we proceed to the cemetery following the service.

Are you ready to answer the call? The Williamsport Fire Department is actively seeking dedicated individuals to join its team and serve the community. This is your chance to embark on a challenging and rewarding path, protecting life and property in Williamsport, Indiana, and the surrounding Warren, Liberty, and Washington Townships.
A Vital Role in the Community
The Williamsport Fire Department, a full volunteer force, is a cornerstone of public safety, responding to a variety of emergencies, from fire suppression, Vehicle extrication to providing essential emergency medical care. Beyond emergency response, members are deeply involved in community events, training, and equipment maintenance, ensuring the highest level of readiness.
What It Takes
Becoming a firefighter is a serious commitment that requires physical fitness, mental fortitude, and a strong sense of civic duty. While requirements may vary, general qualifications for an Indiana firefighter role include:
• Age: Must be at least 18 years old to apply.
• Education: A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• License: A valid Indiana driver's license.
• Background: U.S. citizenship and a clean background check with no violent felony convictions.
• Commitment: New members will undergo extensive training, including certifications for Firefighter 1 & 2, Hazardous Materials Awareness and Operations, and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or First Medical Responder (EMR) training.

There is currently a power outage affecting REMC customers south of 125 S and southwest of Williamsport due to a tree down on power lines and a snapped pole on 125 S. Crews are on scene working to clear the tree and replace the pole. No estimated time for repair is available.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Photos By TAM for generously donating her time and materials for the Williamsport Fires photos with Santa event. Her support was instrumental in making this event a reality. We acknowledge the contributions of all parents, children, and even pets who participated in the event by having their pictures taken with Santa and making donations to the department.
