We will temporarily close and detour US 40 (National Pike) beginning at 8 a.m. June 30 in Clear Spring as part of the bridge over Conococheague Creek rehabilitation project. The detour is anticipated to be in place through August 2026, weather permitting. Learn more: https://ow.ly/YX1H50WgJM2

Conococheague Route 40 bridge to be closed for one year for repairs. Will close in early June. Both lanes. Reopen in 2026 or 2027 at the latest. Photo shows the bridge when it opened in 1936.
