It seems that congressional representatives and candidates can make public statements and campaign commercials about an area without possessing adequate local knowledge or visiting the area. For example, to my knowledge, only one has visited the area over four years ago. Moreover, the Governor has yet to visit the municipality and is engaging in discussions about DHS facilities without input from local authorities. This situation raises concerns regarding the consideration given to local impacts and the priorities of those in power. The emphasis on a warehouse just outside of town appears disproportionate. With substantial infrastructure funding allocated for the town, including the relocation of the C and O Canal National Park headquarters, historical property purchases, and more, it is surprising that there has been no outreach to the municipality that will be most directly affected and has already experienced some of the negative impacts. I hate to use the phrase "campaign rhetoric" but here we are.

Shop local / eat local , gotta love it when your home town spot, Tony's pizza can make you a pepperoni and ranch pizza for lunch! Been wanting a fully loaded with pepperoni pizza with ranch (and we all know its gotta be tony's ranch) for weeks now and finally got it! Thanks James N Kristi Horn and great seeing you Tony! Fantastic lunch! Remember deep fried pepperoni is the way to go, of course with the ranch.

In all my years I have never heard such an outcry. This is a tradition yes, but also it depends on people. I'm not sure where it becomes town goverment needs to step up. They can do better, we do damn well. Neighboring communities kicking before dust settles. Former council people saying what happens and how it happens, seem to forget exactly what happens. Apparently I am suppose to do the job I get paid to do (its not events). I am also pos, and all kinds of things, thats ok, I have big shoulders and it comes with the territory. We all know who, what, and all that. I feel some have confused disappointment with anger and hate. The pitch forks are out on Facebook, torches are lit. People just spewing hate they have for me, some never even met me. But I guess moving forward I will add the parade to my list of things. Volunteers are needed and always have been. It doesn't mean a lot right now to anyone what I post. Its real feel 20 outside in the daylight. Gonna drop as the evening comes. As Mayor we looked at a reschedule opportunity and there was none we could find. Saturday was a basket ball game in high school, next weekend was clearspring parade, the next was a week before Christmas and weather is saying rain, sleet, snow. I apologize this Christmas parade wasn't able to happen. As far as next year rain, snow, gale force winds there will be a parade even if we only have a town truck. As for this Christmas we are doing things, we will be cold in a barn and around. We won't let this stop anything. As always Williamsport’s Christmas continues on.

Why would you vandalize the park? Bring the deer head back and all is good. Stop the stupid vandalism. The park is decorated for people to enjoy and you wanna be a jerk. If we have to catch you, ill press charges.
