The Warren County Coroner’s Office sends our thoughts and heartfelt prayers to all of those affected by this historic flooding across Indiana and those in Warren County.

There have unfortunately been deaths due to the flooding across the state. I just want to keep the citizens of Warren County up-to-date and inform you all officially we have had 0 deaths related to the weather or flooding as of the time of this post.

Please be mindful of the areas of flooding and always avoid them. Follow the guidance of the Warren County Emergency Management Agency and the Warren County Sheriffs Department on any areas to specifically avoid. The best way to remain safe is to never drive through standing water, never swim in floodwaters, and do not wade through standing waters. In the event a water rescue is needed for you or a loved one, please call 911 and let the professionals perform the rescue.

Welcome back to school! The Warren County Coroner’s Office wishes everyone a happy, safe, and educational year! At the Coroner’s Office one of our focuses is prevention so here are some Back to School Safety tips!

To add to this please be patient at drop off and at pickup especially at the Seeger - Warren Central location. This is always a chaotic location and your patience and grace helps tremendously. As a parent myself I experienced just that this morning and I’m grateful for those that helped keep the flow of traffic moving in all directions.

With heart disease being the leading cause of death in the United States, and also true locally in Warren County, take advantage of this offering from the Warren County Health Department! Early detection is imperative! Prevention is even better especially if you know you’re predisposed to heart disease based on your genetics. 

Remember, if you’re having chest pain or just don’t feel right, seek medical attention immediately! Research the warning signs of a heart attack before it happens to you.
