Thank you Chris KC4CMR, Joy K4HHW, Ken KO4PQM, David KR4EYF, Fred KN4ZME, and Anita KH2FX (and myself), for getting up early this morning and coming out to support the Busch Gardens Food & Wine 5K Run.

It was cool but not too cold and sunny when the sun finally came up. The race started at 07:30 and was finished by 09:30. (5K events usually go fast.) There were 697 runners/walkers and only two injuries. The participation in this event keeps growing.

Please keep an eye out for Robert KN4UUT’s messages regarding our next community event, the Patriots Triathlon, September 12 and 13.

The Bike MS Colonial Crossroads ride comes up on May 30 and 31. We aren’t involved in this race’s organization although they will be using the .76 repeater that weekend. Some Club members support the event. The Bike MS website has a section for ham radio operators. Please sign up there to volunteer.
