York Poquoson Williamsburg James City Fire Fighters Paramedics Dispatchers and Yc/wmbg/poq/jcc IAFF 2498 Auxiliary IAFF Local 2498's Parade Float Projects UPDATE: from Committee Chairman Barry Powell August 25th 2026. As you may be aware, we have 3 units being prepared for future parades, public displays, annual events and local events throughout our area. our Auxiliary has a Pull Fire Engine and Peddle Car. The Pull Engine is complete and ready to go. The peddle car still needs a little work. having to remove the peddles and weld a safety plate to the bottom of the peddle car so that it can be pulled safely with a rider within. The largest and most time consuming unit is a gas powered Mini Tiller Truck with lights, sirens, horns, etc. When be obtained the unit it was in disrepair. It had to be striped down to the frame and the Tracker need to be replaced. Thanks to the hard and dedicated work of Chairman Barry Powell and his committee members. The project is moving forward. LED Lights are being installed as we speak. Additional Progress Reports will be provided shortly. 👍🚒👍

This is just a friendly reminder that dues for 2026 were due NLT than January 30th , 2026. Our annual reports, minutes and financial reports for the mandatory annual audit by the local and the International Association of Fire Fighters must be completed NLT March 1st of each year.

Our fiscal year runs from January 1st thru December 31st of each year. We are here to assist the local members and their family members as needed. We truly are a "FAMILY". Please help us maintain and grow our organization by asking other family members to join our Auxiliary.
