mph.

Altoona, State College, Huntingdon, Bellefonte, Hollidaysburg,

For those driving on Interstate 80, this includes areas between the
Snow Shoe and Lamar exits, specifically from mile markers 156 to 171.

Interstate 99 from mile markers 0 to 85.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these severe
thunderstorms. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's

BLAIR PA ALERT: NWS Partners - Blair County and Surrounding Areas-Saturday, June 6, 2026



Initial round of showers early this morning across northwest Pennsylvania with no severe threat.
Showers/storms are expected to develop during the mid-to-late afternoon hours and gradually move southeastward across central Pennsylvania late this afternoon and evening.
Strong-to-severe thunderstorms are possible, with damaging wind gusts being the main hazard. Large hail is also possible across central Pennsylvania.


Important Changes:

Added hazard-specific and timing information for the severe thunderstorm threat this afternoon/evening.
Slight increase in rainfall totals introduces a slight risk for flash flooding across portions of western Pennsylvania.
