The 3 JBB Kid Wind teams came together to celebrate their hard work, creativity, and teamwork—with plenty of pizza! We’re so proud of everything these students accomplished and loved seeing them enjoy some well-deserved time together. Way to go, teams!

At the Virginia State KidWind Challenge, the Turbine Titans placed first, and the Power Stingers placed second, earning both teams the opportunity to represent Virginia at the KidWind World Challenge in Madison, Wisconsin, last month.

The Turbine Titans, our JBB 5th grade Kid Wind team, proudly added their names to the Golden Blade after earning 1st place at the Virginia State Kid Wind Challenge! This accomplishment shows just how much effort, creativity, and determination they put in all season. We’re so proud of them—what a special moment for this amazing group of students!

Competing against 19 elementary teams from across the United States and Taiwan, the JBB 4th grade team, the Power Stingers, was named one of three World Champion teams.

🎓✨ Last week, we welcomed graduating seniors back to where their educational journey began! Our students lined the halls to cheer them on during their Senior Walk, celebrating their hard work, achievements, and bright futures ahead. We are so proud of these graduates and wish them all the best as they take the next step in their journey. Congratulations, Class of 2026! 🎉💙💛

The JBB Bumblebee Culture Club had an incredible visit to the Free Black Settlement at Freedom Park! Students explored the history of one of the oldest free Black communities in America and learned about the strength, resilience, and contributions of the people who lived there. It was a meaningful hands on experience that helped bring history to life for our young learners. We are so proud of our Bumblebees for their curiosity, thoughtful questions, and enthusiasm throughout the trip!

Yesterday, Mr. Morris and Mrs. Gemerek's first grade classes had an amazing time learning through hands-on experiences and outdoor exploration! 🌿🐝 They took a nature walk and explored the area near Freedom Park as part of wrapping up their pond life lessons. Students enjoyed observing nature up close and making real-world connections to everything they've been learning in science.

All 1st grade classes were lucky to spend time with Ms. Zingale yesterday, who taught students all about the bee life cycle and demonstrated how bees work together to create a hive. To make the day even sweeter, students were able to sample our very own JBB honey! It was a fantastic day full of curiosity, exploration, and meaningful learning. 🍯🌼

This spring, our kindergarten classrooms were full of excitement as students watched chicks hatch right before their eyes! This special hands-on experience sparked curiosity and lots of smiles throughout the school!

Community Partnership Spotlight: Williamsburg Dojo is constantly present at JBB! They volunteer at Trunk-or-Treat and run martial art SHIP Clubs throughout the year. For the past 2 years, JBB and Williamsburg Dojo have partnered together to bring hundreds of books to inner city schools in Indonesia. Thank you Williamsburg Dojo for always supporting learning.
