Please join us for the next program in our Geneva Lakes Speaker Series!

Humans as a species underwent a long journey to make their way to what is now Wisconsin. From new archeological finds of human emergence in Africa to technological innovations that allowed us to spread across the globe, we overcame innumerable obstacles to ultimately venture into the Americas. The program will discuss recent archeological discoveries that lead to revised theories on how we emerged, paleontological evidence and human challenges of the last Ice Age in Wisconsin and the current understanding of when the first peoples entered the state.

This program is made possible by the Geneva Lake Libraries and the Lodge at Geneva National.

Please join us on Wednesday, August 19th at 6PM at the Field House for an exciting author visit with Emily Stone. Stone is a naturalist and the Education Director at the Cable Natural History Museum. She will share her favorite stories and her new book, and Natural Connections 3: A Web Endlessly Woven. Books sales and signing to take place after the event.

This event is made possible through a collaboration between Barrett Memorial Library and Kishwauketoe Nature Conservancy as a Nature Series Event.
