📢 Pender County Department of Social Services and Child Support Enforcement Services are moving!

Our team is relocating to 298 Progress Drive in Burgaw to better serve our community.

The move will take place April 16–17, 2026. Services will continue as usual during this time. Phone lines and online services will remain available, though responses to emails and phone calls may take slightly longer as staff complete the transition.

Beginning April 20, 2026, in-person visits in Burgaw will take place at the new location.

Need help with the Property Tax Relief Program? Not sure if you qualify?

The Pender County Tax Office will be at the Willard Outreach Community Center on Tuesday, Feb. 24, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. to assist residents with the Property Tax Relief Program and answer questions about eligibility.

Available programs include:
• Senior Citizen or Disabled Exclusion
• Disabled Veteran Exclusion
• Circuit Breaker Tax Deferral Program

Residents who believe they may qualify are encouraged to attend and bring a copy of their total gross income and any required documentation.

Applications and supporting documents must be submitted to the Pender County Tax Office by June 1, 2026. If approved, the exclusion will be applied to the 2026 tax bill.
