Legal Beef - Loren Zitomersky knows his stuff. 👏 Traffic Stops aren’t Burger King, You don’t get it YOUR WAY… There is a time & place to argue and that’s in court in front of a judge.

The Township of Wilkes-Barre would like to give a huge thank you to Pocono Restorations, of Valish & Co who service all of NorthEast Pa for their generosity and commitment to our community!

This morning, Pocono Restorations donated their time, equipment, and resources to assist with the removal of graffiti from various locations throughout our township. Their efforts have helped restore the appearance of public property and businesses that were impacted by vandalism.

Community partnerships like this make a tremendous difference. We are grateful for their willingness to step up and give back, helping to keep our neighborhoods clean, welcoming, and something we can all take pride in.

Please join us in thanking Pocono Restorations, for their outstanding support. We are beyond grateful for dedication to improving our community!

We are already on our second call of June for children being left unattended in a motor vehicle, and the month has just begun. Fortunately, in both instances, the children were not harmed.

People often think they are “just running in for one item” or “only going in for five minutes.” However, after reviewing video footage, that “five minutes” is often closer to 20 minutes—or even longer.

Pennsylvania Pa Title 75 § 3701.1 states a person driving or in charge of a motor vehicle may not permit a child under six years of age to remain unattended in the vehicle when the motor vehicle is out of the person's sight and under circumstances which endanger the health, safety or welfare of the child.

Additionally, the person once could also face criminal charges including but not limited to: Endangering the welfare of children (https://www.palegis.us/statutes/consolidated/view-statute?txtType=HTM&ttl=18&div=0&chpt=43&sctn=4&subsctn=0)
