Welcome

The Friends of Natchez Trace State Park was incorporated in August 2006, to assist in achieving the mission and goals of Natchez Trace State Park, located in Wildersville, Tennessee. Special groups like this one have increased over the past decade because they enable park visitors and avid park goers to donate time, services, and money directly to their favorite parks.

Past activities sponsored by the Friends of Natchez include: a 5K-10K trail run, trail maintenance volunteer work, and the promotion of the goals and mission of the park itself. If you would like to help us in support of Natchez Trace State Park, please consider joining the Friends of Natchez Trace!

Natchez Trace State Park is conveniently located halfway between Memphis and Nashville, Tennessee, off Interstate 40 at Exit 116. Amenities include several campgrounds, a wrangler camp for equestrians, a resort inn and restaurant, rustic and full-amenity cabins, hundreds of miles of woodland trails, four lakes with fishing and boating, group lodges, a firing range, a swimming beach, and many other educational and recreational opportunities.

While the budget for this park is set and administered by the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation, the Friends of Natchez Trace State Park help fund, improve access, and promote the area’s attractions and events.
